Edit: Aaaaand that's why I only made it worth 1/2 point. As was to be expected on oppo, I stumped exactly no one. This car was also at the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and still had the admission sticker.

Harlequin Golf. Allegedly made by taking cars already finished in one color, then detaching their panels and mixing them around.
Also, word of warning to anyone looking for more information - DO NOT just Google image search "harlequin" without any VW-related qualifiers. I've done that before, it means other things.

Fun fact: Some Harleys had all body panels painted in this shade of green (thus not having the harlequin look), but they are still counted towards the Harlequin total. This color was not otherwise offered in the US except on the Harlequin.

You're in luck. The only place they sold besides the US was a couple in Mexico.

Volkswagen originally created the Design series to tour at International Auto shows. Due to the huge public response of the original four Design series, 60 more were produced. Only 264 were made and offered in 1996, mostly in the United States. A few of them were sold also in Mexico.

Three on here are in Mexico:

They were made in Mexico I believe.
